Your new role Reporting into the ANZ Safety Manager, you will work with the Leadership Team and the ANZ Health and Safety team to drive a Safety-first culture across the site. You will be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety Management System elements under control of the Health and Safety Department are in control and capable of delivering on their purpose. Other responsibilities will include: - SME in occupational health and safety across all operations and functions on site. - Provide leadership, coaching and expert advice in the field of occupational health and safety - Perform safety audit function to ensure risk controls are present and effective. - Driving change through engagement, empowerment and changing behaviours at all levels, from factory floor to senior managers on site. - Develop and coach safety improvement programs on site to build a culture of improvement in safety. What you'll need to succeed - Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or specialist occupational health and safety discipline. - Strong safety experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or other heavy industry environment. - Demonstrated knowledge of Safety Management Systems, structures and processes (e.g. ISO45001). - Demonstrated ability to understand, create or update documentation to professional standard. - Sound ability to understand legislative requirements, recommend and apply practical and effective solutions on site. - Ability to prioritise and work on a variety of projects with a results orientation and good problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated ability to lead and influence people at all levels of the organisation.
