Pizzaca is in search of a Passionate and highly qualified Head chef to join this family owned and operated restaurant/ small bar & t/away Pizzeria in Scarborough/Doubleview.
This busy venue is renowned for its consistent, great quality food & its friendly committed hard working chefs over the past 15 years.
The successful applicant will be carefully chosen to ensure they are the perfect fit to join the Pizzaca family.
With this in mind, we are looking for stability, professionalism, commitment, and a flair for food.
The successful applicant must be able to work well under the stress of a busy kitchen environment.
Tasks involved are :
Staff Rosters
Organise and participate in the preparation and cooking of food in a timely manner
Quality control of all produce
Monitoring food stock inventory appropriately, including monthly stock takes
Ensure that working areas are always kept clean, safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen, as well as ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Ensure the kitchen staff work harmoniously and address any staff concerns
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff, as required
Modification of recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy, reduce chilli) as required.
Assist with recruitment of kitchen staff
Appropriately 38 hours per week.
Salary $74,000-$80,000
Remuneration will be based on experience and training.
Minimum of 3 years experience.
