The Position is for a FULL TIME CHEF.
Duties of the position include:
Preparation and cooking for both a la carte and function dining.
Rotating through all sections of the kitchen - hot entrée, meat, cold entrée and fish sections, as required.
Implementation of Executive Chef’s and Head Chef’s new menu items.
Quality control of dishes.
Being responsible for purchasing and stock control of both fresh and dry store items.
Ordering of dry goods and Chemical supplies if required.
Acquisition of Occupational Health and Safety training skills, specifically a current First Aid Certificate.
Acquisition of Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, as required by NSW law.
To be considered for this position, the applicant must have relevant Diploma qualifications and/or 2 years employment experience. A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Chef in a fine dining commercial kitchen is preferred. The applicant must have sufficient training and experience to be able to work independently, run a busy section when required, and to rotate throughout the kitchen when required.
The successful applicant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Must also be permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (eg Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident). Please do not apply if you are outside Australia .
Salary range: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
