To be located in Campbellfield we are seeking a Full Time Transport Company Manager with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent in substantial experience. Salary starting at $90,000 + super (depending on experience) for this full-time position. Responsibilities: Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning, and overseeing tasks and operations. involving transport activities of waste that includes collect and disposal. Required to ensure the legal requirements for road haulage are met. Inspecting vehicles, Arranging repairs and routine maintenance. Ensuring that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date qualifications. Reducing the risk of vehicle overloading by routing the drivers based on average weight of waste using previous customer data. Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings and ensuring staff are in compliance with safety rules and regulations. Planning, organizing, and managing subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company’s standards. Directing investigations to verify and resolve driver’s complaints. We may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training, and experience. Qualifications: A minimum Diploma qualification. Tertiary qualifications in management is preferable not essential. Experience Requirement: At least 2 years of experience in highly relevant role required. Preferably experience in the waste management industry. Competency in the above tasks and duties. Essential Skills: Strong transport and waste management knowledge. Must be able to manage legal requirements of road haulage, compliance with safety rules and regulations. Ability to lead, delegate, and perform to a high standard. Strong verbal and written communication techniques with an analytical thinking approach. Able to show accountability, be customer focused and hold people accountable for individual and team goals.
