Nitro Golf Centre Pty Ltd operates a golf entertainment complex in Mildura, Victoria 3500. We are currently seeking two qualified full time Cooks.
Salary offered is $73,150pa plus super.
The Cook will be responsible for cooking and preparing a range of snack, lunch and dinner dishes for a major regional entertainment centre. The venue is fully licensed and offers bar service as well as a large seated dining area.
The applicant must have the following skills:
- Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery
- At least 2 years full time work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Dedication and commitment to preparing delicious meals for a regional restaurant
The Cook is responsible for:
• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality and cost efficiency given regional location
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment at Nitro Golf Centre
• preparing and cooking food in commercial kitchen
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• may plan menus and estimate food requirements with a focus on locally grown Sunraysia produce
• may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
