Brighton Panel Works is an established company specialising in luxury vehicle repairs and insurance work. We are currently seeking an experienced PANEL BEATER/ ASSEMBLER to join our Moorabbin team in a full-time position. We are a busy shop that prides ourselves on our workmanship and working well as a team.
The successful applicant will require:
Relevant trade qualifications
Knowledge of the vehicle repair industry
Be competent in small & large repairs
High attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Own tools to fulfill the role
Be punctual & reliable
Self-motivated and organised
Must have great work ethic
The role includes but is not limited to:
Assess vehicle damage, checking exterior or frame damage and provide quotes and reports
Carry out necessary repairs to restore the vehicle’s condition.
Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access
Removing dents by hammering panels
Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims
Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other specialty vehicles
