LLOYD & PARTNERS PTY. LTD. are seeking 2 full time Accountants for their office in Sydney & Northern Territory. The primary purpose of the role is to manage your own portfolio of clients as Management Accountant. You must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, an attention for detail, sound MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero and Excel skills, working knowledge of best practice accounting disciplines such as financial accounting, compliance, systems development and process improvement.
Benefits

Salary $75,000.00 to $90,000.00

Task & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
- Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
- Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
- Preparing taxation returns for individuals and organisations
- Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
- Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
- Maintaining internal control systems
- May appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects
- Compliance with regulatory requirements (PAYG, STP, GST, Super etc.)
- Ensuring that all financial functions for clients are performed in an efficient and timely manner, as well as acting as an advisor
- Maintaining a client focus and high-performance culture
- Administrative support to Managing Director
- Compliance & Reporting
- Preparation of BAS, FBT and Income Tax Return
- Ad hoc projects as required by the finance team

Qualification & Experience

Key role requirements include:

- Outstanding client management skills (you must be a people person)
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance, or close to completing
- ASA/CPA or be willing to work towards
- At least 2 years accounting or bookkeeping and team management experience (ideally gained within a small/medium business)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- MYOB/Xero - AP, Payroll and Bank reconciliation and month end processing
- Strong numeracy and a sound knowledge of accounting practices
- Analytical in nature and a proven confident user of Excel
- Exceptional time management skills
- Permanent Australian residents need only apply
- Must have drivers licence and own vehicle
