Our team on Coastal Wetlands at the Australian Rivers Institute is focused on researching biogeochemistry and ecology for practical application in current management issues. We also work on testing and improving methods for successful restoration.

We are currently looking for a PhD candidate to participate in a multidisciplinary project assessing the services and disservices of constructed wetlands.
The primary focus of this role is to conduct field and laboratory assessments of greenhouse gas emissions, carbon sequestration, nitrogen removal and biodiversity assessments of newly constructed mangrove treatment wetlands in Southeast Queensland, Australia.
This role requires collaboration with industry, the State Government and the local Council.
The successful applicant will be based at the Nathan campus.
