The Role:

You will be responsible for menu development, food preparation, and leading our kitchen team to ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes that exceed our customers' expectations. Key Responsibilities:
1. Menu Development: Collaborate with management to design and develop a diverse menu, incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes that cater to our customers' tastes.
2. Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, from pub classics to contemporary specials, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
3. Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
4. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
5. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control over food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet the hotel's high standards before they are served to guests.
6. Cost Management: Monitor food costs, manage portion sizes, and minimize waste to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality food standards.
7. Customer Focus: Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction, adapting the menu as needed to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management. Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes while maintaining consistency and quality.
4. Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
