The Role:
As a Pastry Cook at Millé & B, you will be at the forefront of our kitchen, bringing creativity and expertise to each product. This role offers the perfect opportunity to refine your skills in pastry preparation while being part of a team that values excellence, quality, and the artistry of baking.
Location: Level 3/28 Bouverie St, Carlton VIC 3053
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Crafting Quality: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked goods, ensuring each item meets our high-quality standards.
2. Menu Innovation: Assist in developing new recipes and seasonal menus, experimenting with flavors and techniques to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
3. Maintaining Excellence: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards at all times.
4. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering ingredients, and ensure efficient use of materials to minimize waste.
5. Collaboration: Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations, fostering a supportive and creative work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualifications: Certificate III in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a commercial patisserie or bakery, with a proven track record of producing high-quality pastries.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of pastry-making techniques, creativity in presentation, and attention to detail.
4. Personal Attributes: Passionate about baking, innovative, detail-oriented, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
5. Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
