Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify faults in vehicle engines and components, ensuring precision in diagnostics and repairs.
• Skillfully dismantle engine assemblies, transmissions, and other vital components, inspecting and evaluating parts for wear and defects.
• Execute expert repairs or replacements of worn or defective parts, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and service manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle performance and ensure environmental compliance.
• Reassemble mechanical components with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all parts function seamlessly post-repair.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately adjust and test mechanical parts, guaranteeing optimal performance and reliability.
• May conduct vehicle inspections or outline necessary repairs for compliance and roadworthy.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week.
Qualifications: Applicants should possess an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive mechanics is required.
Salary: The successful candidate will be offered a salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
