• Menu Development and Cost Management: Craft and revise menus considering seasonal availability and customer preferences. Manage food and labour costs effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilisation.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee all stages of dish preparation, from ingredient selection to plating, ensuring each dish meets our high standards for taste and presentation.
• Collaborative Team Leadership: Engage in constructive discussions with management, staff, and dietary experts to enhance food quality and service delivery.
• Skill Enhancement: Conduct cooking demonstrations and provide guidance on culinary techniques to kitchen staff.
• Food Preparation: Execute a range of cooking tasks, from initial preparation to final cooking phases, ensuring each ingredient reflects our commitment to quality.
• Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards throughout the kitchen, educating and monitoring team compliance.
• Team Development: Participate in the selection and training of new kitchen staff, fostering a supportive and skilled kitchen environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Innovate new dishes and special menu items that align with festive seasons or promotional events.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen and hold an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field.
