Rombola Family Farms has a great opportunity for an energetic and organised individual to join the team as Quality Assurance Managers at both of our operations, Griffith, NSW, and Mataranka in the Northern Territory.

This role is responsible for ensuring quality systems are in place and functional to assist the safe and effective delivery of products to customers. Specifically, the Quality Assurance Manager will manage, develop, implement, and review the quality policies and procedures in line with the organisation’s goals and business plans and all customer’s quality regulations.
Key operational accountabilities include:
• Monitor the company’s implementation of its quality assurance systems, processes and record-keeping standards in the field and packing facilities.
• Facilitates audits and visits by government authorities, certifying bodies and customer product technologists in an efficient and effective manner.
• Promptly and efficiently responds to requests for information from government authorities, auditing bodies and customer product technologies.
• Maintain a robust Company document control system. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 requirements.
• Select, train, and supervise staff and contractors when required.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
• Tertiary qualifications in food science or related discipline will be highly regarded.
• At least two years' experience in a similar position within the FMCG/food processing industry.
• Experience in the implementation of a Quality Assurance system of the large-scale food production operation is essential.
• GMP, HACCP AQIS, WQA and Global gap training, or food safety procedure training or exposure to these systems and processes are required.
• SQF, HACCP and WQA knowledge and experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to analyse data and interpret trends.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relationship management skills with the ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• People manager, negotiator and an all-round good person that will thrive working in a proactive team (must be a team player).
• Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
• Sound working knowledge of WH&S requirements.
• A current driver’s licence.
