Boundless Gardening Services are recruiting an enthusiastic and passionate new team member to help deliver high quality gardens for both commercial and residential clients throughout Canberra.
The Garden Maintenance Team Leader will be required to interact with clients and instruct team member labourers while also performing the day-to-day maintenance tasks required.
Previous industry experience and either a completed or in progress horticulture or similar relevant qualifications is required for applicants, with a high attention to detail and willingness to learn and work hard the most important traits of the successful applicant.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Disease identification and plant treatment knowledge
• Assessing job sites and assigning responsibilities + performing job tasks to ensure efficient and high quality work is delivered within the
agreed time frames with clients.
• Ensuring Workplace Health and Safety requirements are being followed at all times.
• Lawn Mowing, whipper snipping and edging
• Weeding - including hand weeding and chemical application (training provided)
• Mulching
• Pruning and hedging
• Light landscaping work
• Other general garden maintenance as required
ESSENTIALS:
• Must have your own vehicle to travel to and from job sites, having a trailer is also preferred, however not essential.
• Working with vulnerable people check, or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to maintaining responsible Workplace Health and Safety standards
• Willingness to work in a physical job in an outdoor environment
• Self-motivated and the ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
• Reliable and strong time management, including for both yourself and other staff members
