Salary: $ 74100+ super of 11.5%
Location: T/10-T/11 northern hwy kilmore 3764, VIC
Reporting to:
This role reports directly to the Director/Manager.
Requirement:
We require a qualified Chef with passion for cars and has an experience of over 2 years in a similar environment, with a minimum of a Certificate IV & Diploma qualification. We are offering a salary of $74100 for this full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Menu planning (including both seasonal and daily specials) and estimating food and labour costs
• Order food supplies
• Examine the food and supplies to ensure quality
• Prepare and cook food as per menu and recipes
• Store correctly labelled food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Estimate food requirements
• Hire, train and manage all kitchen staff, including employee development, issuing disciplinary actions, and conducting performance reviews
• Lead the other kitchen staff to create creative and diverse menu options
• Implemented successful cross-marketing strategies such as food and wine pairings
• Prepared food items to meet recipes, portioning, dietary requirements, and cooking and waste control guidelines
• Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
• Follow and enforce workplace health & safety regulations, implement and be a leader in hygiene policies and examine equipment for cleanliness
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Certificate IV & Diploma qualification
Experience Requirement:
• At least 2 years of experience in a highly relevant role is required.
Essential Skills:
• Good cooking and presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and assist with all facets of kitchen operation
• Able to work in a team and lead a team
• Good communication skills
• Maintain good health and hygiene
• Ability to train cooks and junior staff
• Great time management and organisation skills
