THE ORGANISATION
The Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation (ICN ) (YAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Yinhawangka People. YAC manages the native title rights and interests of the Yinhawangka People whose native title determination is in the central Pilbara region of Western Australia with significant historical and current mining activities. YACs mission is to support the cultural, social, and economic wellbeing of the Yinhawangka People while ensuring the protection of Yinhawangka land and heritage.
THE ROLE
YAC is seeking an Independent Director to join the board and provide strategic guidance and independent oversight to help YAC achieve its objectives. This is a critical role, requiring a person who can bring expertise in corporate governance and guide the board in making informed decisions that benefit the Yinhawangka community.
