They are on the hunt for a seasoned procurement professional to join their team in delivering best practice procurement advice and high quality support to internal and external stakeholders alike to enhance the procurement function across the organisation. Your new role Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing high quality advice, information and assistance to the organisation in support of best practice in procurement.
Administering and participating in all procurement activities in accordance with the purchasing policy and operating procedures.
Assisting to ensure compliance across all areas in procurement.
Chairing and attending tender openings and evaluations including undertaking evaluations and acting as an independent facilitator and reviewer of procurement documentation.
Drafting standard contracts for relevant procurement activities utilising up-to-date templates and standard operating procedures.
Developing and routinely maintaining standard operating procedures to support team efficiency and consistency.
Maintaining effective supplier relationships to deliver ongoing and effective contractor relationships.
Monitoring, updating and maintaining relevant registers, including the tender register and quote register.
Providing support on the use of online procurement tools and software products to both internal and external contractors where relevant. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will ideally come with:
Procurement certification or experience within governance or procurement practices.
Experience in the interpretation of legislation or contractual provisions and its application.
Demonstrated strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
Proven experience working in a similar role along with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities and the ability to work with a high degree of flexibility.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
