OZTM Painting & Decorating Pty Ltd, a renowned professional painting service based in Thomastown, VIC, is inviting skilled Painters/Painting Trades Workers to enhance our dynamic team. With a steadfast commitment to quality and detail, we specialise in both residential and commercial projects, providing bespoke solutions that breathe new life into spaces through exceptional craftsmanship and innovative techniques.

Position: Full-Time Painter/Painting Trades Worker

Location: Thomastown, VIC

Responsibilities:
• Set up scaffolds, ladders, and protection sheets to shield areas from paint and debris.
• Prepare painting surfaces by removing old coatings, repairing woodwork, filling cracks, and ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for application.
• Mix and prepare paints, matching colours meticulously to meet client specifications and project requirements.
• Apply paint, varnishes, and stains using a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, and sprayers to achieve a professional finish.
• Install wallpaper with attention to alignment and pattern matching, trimming as necessary to ensure aesthetic coherence.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and painting sites, ensuring all equipment is stored properly and leftover materials are disposed of responsibly.
• Perform minor window repairs and glass replacement in various frame types as needed.
• Engage in tiling repairs and installations, enhancing both the functionality and appearance of floors and walls.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a painting role.
• AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating or a related field.

Personal Attributes:
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A proactive attitude, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and practices.

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation annually
