POSITION: HAIRDRESSER
RESPONSIBLE TO: Salon Manager
OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for maintaining the artistic standards and techniques set by the company, ensuring the level of service provided maintains high professional standards at all times in cutting, coloring and styling.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences by asking pointed questions.
Advising clients on suitable haircuts as well as hairstyles and hair color based on their physical features and hair type.
Washing, rinsing and drying clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalps)
Cutting, trimming, and shaping clients' hair as well as wigs, hair extensions, hairpieces, and toupes based on clients’ preferences and specifications.
Using hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs, to style clients’ hair accordingly.
Applying a wide range of hair coloring techniques, like highlights, ombre and balayage.
Creating hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns.
Appling hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams and hydrating masks).
Forming bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences.
Managing bookings and serve walk-ins.
Ensuring tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed.
Cleaning and sterilizing all hairdressing tools and instruments to ensure that state health and safety standards are met.
Operating the cash register to process client payments when necessary.
Attending all relevant training as directed from time to time.
TRAINING:
Onsite training is provided to allow the successful applicant to become familiar with A.H Salon procedures.
SALARY:
Depending on experience, we offer a base salary range between $77,000 and $110,000 per annum + Super
