Swan Hill based company is looking for experienced Painting Trades Workers to join their team of skilled tradesmen for painting domestic and commercial buildings. This is a full time permanent position.
Position Details:
erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
cleaning equipment and work areas
The role is accountable to the company owner and may involve liaising with a range of internal and external personnel, including service providers, contractors and company clients.
Skills and Experience Required:
To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
have a minimum of 3 years painting experience
have a thorough knowledge of paints and varnishes
have a thorough knowledge of filler types, their application and preparation for painting
be willing to work overtime as required
be self-motivated and able to work independently as required
possess a driving licence
Remuneration
$60,000 - $80,000 a year dependent on skills and experience. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
