Position: Skilled Wall and Floor Tiler
Job Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret plans, accurately measure and mark surfaces, and strategize tile layout.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling by removing outdated tiles, grout, and adhesives, repairing any imperfections, and thoroughly cleaning all areas.
• Skillfully apply adhesive, accurately place tiles, and ensure they are properly aligned and spaced.
• Utilise cutting tools to shape tiles for custom fits around edges, corners, and fixtures.
• Execute grouting techniques to finish the tile placement, followed by meticulous cleaning to remove any excess grout.
• Implement and maintain effective waterproofing systems.
• Occasionally create unique and artistic tile designs and mosaics according to client requests.
• Stay current with industry standards and new materials to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
• Craft floors using granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or similar materials as per project specifications.
• Design and lay coloured tiles in intricate patterns to create stunning mosaics tailored to client desires.
Hours of Work: This full-time position requires 38 hours of work per week.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in tiling and hold an AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in a relevant field.
