Cafe 63 Southtown is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary
team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of high-
quality dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in food preparation. The ideal candidate
will have a deep understanding of culinary techniques, excellent leadership skills and a
commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality
standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective food
production.
- Manage portion control and minimise waste to optimize cost-efficiency.
2. Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Monitor and control food safety practices, including temperature checks and cleanliness.
3. Staff Management:
- Lead, supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing training and support to ensure optimal
performance.
- Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff to meet operational needs.
4. Inventory Management:
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and sourcing of ingredients.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food products to maintain freshness and prevent
spoilage.
5. Customer Service:
- Address any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Ensure a positive dining experience by delivering high-quality food and service.
Experienced required:
- Must have trade qualifications in commercial cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experiences as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety and kitchen management.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Passionate about cooking and delivering high-quality food.

We are offering a full-time and ongoing position with a generous salary package in the
vicinity of $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year commensurate with experience.
