About the Role:
As a Chef at 2 Fat Indians, you will be instrumental in crafting exceptional dishes that resonate with the rich traditions of Indian cuisine, while also appealing to the contemporary tastes of our diverse clientele. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the high standards our patrons expect and help us continue our reputation as a leading destination for Indian cuisine in Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes using traditional techniques and ingredients.
Ensure that all dishes are made to order and up to standard in both taste and presentation.
Manage kitchen operations including inventory, equipment, and order systems.
Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure culinary and hygienic standards are maintained.
Collaborate with the management team to create innovative menu items and seasonal specials.
Uphold all health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and work areas.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Diploma of Hospitality or equivalent culinary qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, with a strong background in Indian cuisine highly regarded.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Fluent in English, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
