The Agricultural Technician - Diesel Mechanic performs repairs and maintenance of agricultural vehicles and
equipment such as tractors, trucks, and other agricultural equipment.
Key operational accountabilities include:
• Regular checks on the vehicles and other agricultural equipment in the farm.
• Diagnose faults in engines, transmission, and other parts.
• Test and diagnose the vehicles and equipment for an efficient operation.
• Order necessary parts for maintenance of the vehicles and equipment.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
• At least three years related experience and formal qualification in agricultural science or technology is essential.
• Knowledge of manual and/or computerised systems.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Initiative and integrity.
• Team player.
• Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
• A current driver’s licence.
