The Facility Manager is a key member of the Rombola Family Farms production-packing team. This role is responsible for controlling, organising, and coordinating the packing facilities to ensure the appropriate and effective operation of the shed floor.
Key operational accountabilities include, but not limited to:
• Manage the shed floor on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure all cool rooms are operating correctly.
• Ensure all produce is packed to specifications, efficiently, without compromising quality.
• Ensure that the logistics coordinator has the product in a timely fashion and to a quality standard to ensure all product can be delivered in full and on time.
• Lead the staff working in the packing shed.
• Maintain a high standard of work practices at all time.
• Liaise with the row cropping team to determine objectives.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
• Qualifications in Production Horticulture and /or Agriculture is highly desired. A work history that highlights packhouse coordination and management in a medium to large enterprise.
• ChemCert Certification is preferred.
• Experience with time management, work scheduling and planning of packing house programs.
• Ability to liaise with contractors and employees at any level in a range of packing house matters.
• Experience in providing advice to management and the ability to communicate at all level.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Initiative and integrity.
• Team player.
• Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
• A current driver’s licence.
