Right now, we're seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Head Chef to join our kitchen at Parker’s Cafe.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Full-Time position and, among others, as Head Chef, you will be in charge of:
-Menu planning design, costings, and stocktaking
-Menu preparation, ensuring that standard recipes are followed to ensure the consistency of the menu
-Creation of weekly specials
-Cooking and presenting food
-Implementing multiple cooking procedures
-Monitoring food quality
-Management of cleanliness within the kitchen applying workplace safety and hygiene procedures
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-Relevant Diploma qualification plus 2 years’ work experience in the same occupation or closely related OR 3 years’ work experience in the same occupation or closely related in lieu
-Proven experience with menu development, costings and ordering
-Understanding of product, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
-Contributing new ideas which may improve customer service or department operations
-Excellent team player
-Strong communication and people management skills, not to mention some grace under pressure!
-Passionate about food and people, with a can do friendly attitude
