Position Overview:
The role of a Technical Consultant in the domain of D365 Business Central & Power Platform involves providing technical expertise and leadership in designing, implementing, and supporting customized business solutions. These professionals apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, integrate various systems, and optimize processes to enhance organizational efficiency. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of activities, from direct client engagement to backend system configuration and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Customization:
- Analyse client requirements to design tailored D365 Business Central and Power Platform solutions.
- Customize and configure Business Central to meet specific business needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Develop custom applications and automation workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- System Integration:
- Design and implement integrations between D365 Business Central and third-party platforms, such as SalesForce, SQL server, Procore, KeyPay, and Bamboo.
- Configure and test API keys, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising from system integrations.
- Client Interaction and Support:
- Engage with clients to understand their operational processes and provide technical solutions to enhance performance.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing technical support to ensure successful adoption of implemented solutions.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, applying updates and patches as necessary.
- Advanced Configuration and Licensing:
- Configure advanced warehousing modules within Business Central to streamline inventory and logistics operations.
- Provide strategic advice on the licensing and deployment of Business Central across client organizations.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including consultants, developers and project manager, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and troubleshooting guides for future reference.
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Appropriate tertiary degree and/or proven recent work experience in a similar role
- Certifications in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or others are highly valued
- Permission to work in Australia
