Within RDH, the Division of Women, Children & Youth comprises highly qualified medical, nursing, and midwifery professionals, along with allied health practitioners, administrative staff, and support services. This Division takes on the responsibility of delivering maternity, general gynaecological, neonatal, and paediatric services, extending to a diverse array of sub-specialty services including forensic medical services for victims of sexual assault. Notably, the division extends its reach with specialist outreach services to remote communities, including Katherine and Gove District Hospitals, and supports the Top End’s Neonatal Emergency Transport Service.
The Division has a significant teaching, training, and research program, supported by strong clinical and professional governance structures aligned with NT Health’s values: Safe, Responsive, Kind. Recent innovations, such as the cultural safety program Ask the Specialist Plus, underscore our commitment to progressive healthcare.
In this context, we are actively seeking an innovative healthcare leader capable of driving transformative solutions, optimizing patient outcomes and experiences, and prioritizing staff wellbeing. The ideal candidate will actively strengthen the holistic and sustainable healthcare environment for women, children, and youth at Royal Darwin Hospital. The role is designed for an individual keen on maintaining a clinical, teaching, and/or research position while making a substantive contribution to the RDH Executive Team in a management and leadership capacity.
