The Opportunity
Metalcorp is looking for a Branch Manager in Charters Towers to be a key member of our Queensland leadership team. Metalcorp is a leading rural Australian steel distributor, supplying brands for the land through our branches and stockists across Australia.
Overseeing our Charters Towers branch and reporting to the State Manager, you will nurture and grow partnerships with our valued customers across a broad territory. This role involves leading a cross-functional team in external sales, customer service, and operations, significantly contributing to our Queensland state business plan. You will invest time in coaching and motivating your team, enhancing their capabilities to deliver improved outcomes and adopt new ways of working.
In this role you will receive a competitive remuneration package including a company vehicle and participation in a performance incentive program.
What Will You Do?
You’ll ensure we can continue to deliver world-class service and product solutions for our customers, now and for the future.
To achieve this, you will:
- lead a small team of sales and operational staff with a focus on safety, employee engagement and development;
- develop solid partnerships with customers across the territory;
- promote sales management processes and manage customers and territories;
- identify new market opportunities and develop growth strategies to increase profit and create shareholder value; and
- work with the State Manager QLD to develop and execute business strategies to deliver positive financial results and improved operational outcomes.
