Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

Affectionately known as the 'Youthie' to locals, the Cobar Youth & Community Centre provides a variety of services to the Cobar community, including sporting competitions, coordinated recreational activities for people of all ages, a cafe, function room, gymnasium, basketball courts, and squash courts for general use.
