We are currently on the hunt for an Engineering Technologist to join our team.
The purpose of this role is to analyse and modify new and existing engineering technologies and apply them in the testing and implementation of engineering projects.
About the role:
• Assist in the design and development of engineering projects and systems.
• Contribute to the creation of detailed technical specifications and plans.
• Implement engineering solutions, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
• Conduct tests and evaluations of materials, systems, and equipment.
• Support project managers in planning and coordinating engineering projects.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing updates as necessary.
• Analyze technical data and project requirements to inform decision-making.
• Utilize software tools for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
• Develop and apply quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to promote safe engineering practices.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other professionals in multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders and clients.
•Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, manuals, and operational procedures.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in engineering systems.
• Assist in the maintenance and operation of engineering facilities and equipment.
• Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems.
• Participate in professional development and training to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Ensure engineering practices adhere to local, state, and national regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and standards affecting the engineering sector.
Essentials:
•Tertiary qualification in engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia
• Understanding of engineering principles and standards related to Civil & Structural projects
• Highly motivated, achievement-oriented and innovative professional
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders whilst managing and maintaining client relationships
