Our Client BARUNGA VILLAGE INC, ABN – 30 211 708 504 – Located in South Australia is seeking a Full-time Nursing Support Worker for between $73,000 - $75,000 per year
DUTIES:
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation including notes, assessments and care plans
• Observe, report and document all changes in resident need requirements
• Provide consistently high-quality care to all residents
• Support independence of residents by providing appropriate assistance with personal care in accordance with care plans
• Act to protect the rights of residents including confidentiality, privacy, individual choice and decision-making
• Provide emotional support to residents
• Build and maintain effective relationships
• Ensure compliance against the Aged Care Standards is maintained where appropriate
• Be responsive to the needs of the company and its changing environment
• Attend meetings and compulsory education as required
• Participate in safety and improvement activities for the organization
• Identify and report areas of risk (including complaints) within the scope of the position
• Demonstrate adherence to all OH & S policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all legislation and other requirements relevant to your position
• Observe and practice the principles and obligations of Equal Employment Opportunity and maintain a workplace free from bullying and harassment
• Comply with and promote company policies and procedures
• Participating in planning the care of individuals
• Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
• Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
• Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications
• Providing direct support and assistance to therapists
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
This position will require the following from the employee:
• Must provide a NDIS worker screening clearance that is dated not more than five years old to enable the assessment of whether the employee is suitable to provide care under the Aged Care Act.
• Must comply with having annual flu vaccination and be fully immunised against COVID-19.
• Must sign a statutory declaration to identify serious criminal activity committed outside of Australia. To comply with the company’s Code of Conduct.
• Two years of on-the-job experience.
• All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police check with no disclosures
• Diploma in Aged Care field or equivalent
• Current driver’s license
• Own transportation
• Loves to work in a great team environment.
• A desire for long term employment.
