Salary: $74,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
Position; Full time, Permanent

Our client, Nilkanth Trust & Sahjanand Family Trust trading as Priceless Variety, operates a retail store in Byford WA. This dynamic store offers a wide range of general merchandise, including apparel, auto parts, dry goods, toys, hardware, furniture, and a selection of groceries.

The client is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store. In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met. You will also be accountable for the overall performance of the store, ensuring it meets its financial and operational targets.

The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage daily retail operations, including inventory control, sales, and staff management
• Monitor and analyze store performance to meet sales targets and improve profitability
• Provide excellent customer service and address any customer complaints or issues
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to enhance the store’s appearance and boost sales
• Manage inventory levels, ensure stock replenishment, and conduct regular stock checks
• Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and organized environment
• Deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers
• Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
• Maintain awareness of market trends and monitor competitors
• Plan promotional activities, discounts, and marketing campaigns to drive store traffic and sales

Minimum Requirements:
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role
• Proven experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar leadership role within the retail industry
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A solid understanding of retail management best practices, including merchandising and inventory control
• Experience in achieving sales targets and driving business growth
