Our client, King Flex, is seeking a full-time Accountant to join their team in Glendenning, New South Wales. King Flex is a privately owned Australian company, formed in 2012 with branches in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia. The company sources, manufactures, and supplies products primarily for the construction industry, focusing on the post-tension and civil sectors. Supported by their Asian partners with over 20 years of experience, they ensure high-quality workmanship and have successfully tested their Slab Anchorage and Wedges system to AS1314:2003. In June 2021, they proudly received ISO 9001:2015 certification after a comprehensive audit process, demonstrating their commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

The annual salary for the role is $ 73,500 plus the Superannuation.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end and quarter-end financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.

• Preparing GST returns for the business.

• Analysing company growth through reports on sales, receivables, payables, inventory, etc., and presenting findings to senior management.

• Preparing budgets with revenue forecasts and expense estimates at the beginning of the financial year.

• Preparing year-end tax returns.

• Ensuring account statements comply with statutory requirements.

• Preparing BAS and reporting any significant fluctuations in payments.

• Maintaining and updating company information with ASIC.

• Coordinating with the Director and field staff to manage operating costs and enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Posting superannuation monthly and allocating profit centres.

• Conducting year-end closing procedures.

• Managing fixed assets and conducting annual stock takes.

• Maintaining proper backup files for research and reference.

• Ensuring financial security by following internal control procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.

• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and updating it if necessary.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.

• Demonstrated commercial acumen to grasp the dynamics of a complex and evolving industry.

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience with strong attention to detail.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Xero accounting software.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

• Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, working independently, and prioritising tasks.

• Proven track record of increasing responsibilities and scope.

• Ability to resolve complex problems independently through in-depth analysis of multiple factors.

• Self-managing and able to execute tasks in an unstructured environment.

• Strong organisational, planning, and management skills, with the ability to coordinate input from others to achieve timely results.

• Demonstrated experience with complex, integrated, computerised accounting systems.

• Proven ability to analyse data sets methodically.

• A positive, team-oriented approach.
