Krost Manufacturing utilizes high technology design and manufacturing equipment to produce a range of commercial and consumer furniture products.
About the role
You will be part of a multidisciplinary manufacturing team operating with a start-up ethos but with the support and resources of a larger corporation.
This role is suited to a talented, hands-on Joiner/Cabinetmaker and involves all aspects of office furniture manufacturing and assembly. You need to be creative, driven and have a desire to succeed when presented with challenges outside your current knowledge base. A strong practical and theoretical background is essential together with a good work ethic.
Skills and experience Required
• Trade qualification in cabinetmaking or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Proven experience in the design, implementation, operation and training on a range of technologies
• Demonstrated experience of "hands on" projects
• Experience following a design process
• Ability to read and understand complex design drawings and requirements
• Experience in understanding and operating high-end Timber Board Storage Systems, CNC, Edgebanding, Cutting and drilling technologies would be an advantage

Job Role
• Understand all aspects of commercial joinery and manufacturing procedures
• Ensure high standards are achieved
• Assemble cabinetry Joinery components
• Use a range of hand tools
• Be responsible for producing quality product
• Run Parts on CNC.
• Complete Construction / setup ready for install.
• Read construction drawings / problem solve.
• Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously

Key Incumbent requirements:
• Ideally you have worked in the manufacturing industry
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in cabinetmaking/joinery
• 3 years+ experience as a qualified joiner/cabinetmaker (Cert III or equivalent)
• A recognised problem solver, with a track record of success using a structured approach
• Experienced with design, manufacturing / business process development
• Good communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
• A history of taking accountability for objectives and their outcomes
• A responsible attitude to working safely and building the safety culture.
• A commitment to lifelong learning and development.

Remuneration
• $60,000 - $70,000 excluding superannuation - Depending on your qualification and relevant experience
