About the role;
The primary objective of this position is to perform servicing, welding, repair, and maintenance on Tunnel Boring Machines to support and enable efficient and profitable contract delivery.
The role:
• Repair and upkeep of Tunnel Boring Machines
• Maintain and repair TBM ancillary equipment
• Performing welding duties
• Provide recommendations for problem solutions
• Undertake replacement of parts
• Carry out yard duties when required – this could be anything from washing machines to loading trucks
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualifications and/or experience:
• 2 years’ trade experience in related role
• Have knowledge or exposure to heavy mobile plant including boring machines
• Problem solving skills, analytical and resourceful
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work without supervision
• Versatile, self-motivated and team oriented
• Ability to follow precise instructions and directions
• High level fabrication and welding skills
• Experience with gouging
• Understanding of production requirements
• Commitment to safety within the workplace

Hourly Rate - $47 to 55 per hour
