Full-Time Sous Chef Required

Located in Baskerville WA, Baskerville Tavern is currently seeking a qualified Full Time Sous Chef to join our friendly team.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Chef who is committed to exceeding our guests’ expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team. The eligible candidates will be performing the following duties:
• Prepare all dishes to our high standard consistently.
• Creating new dishes and planning menus
• Controlling and directing food preparation process and any other kitchen related duties.
• Monitor and record of inventory and if necessary, order supplies.
• Ensure OH&S and food hygiene requirements are met.
• Work unsupervised and in a team while maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
• Assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ordering and stock control.
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
• Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
• 2 + years of proven kitchen experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment
• Qualifications in commercial cookery- Cert IV or higher
• Flexible availability
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Effective communication skills
• Overall knowledge of operations, ordering, stock control and working to budgets
Salary Range: $72,000 to $80,000 plus super depending upon the experience.
Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or Higher
