The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) is a regulator established on 1 July as an independent agency under section 181A of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act (the NDIS Act) to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia. During its formative phase, the Commissions focus was on establishing the essential systems and processes needed to meet its legislated responsibilities. The Commission is transitioning from start-up to the scale-up maturing of its operations to becoming an effective, approachable and transparent regulator. The Senior Administrative Review Officer is responsible for assisting the Internal Integrity Unit in effectively implementing the NDIS Commissions
