Hours include weekdays, nights and especially weekends. Job duties include: Planning and developing menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with the head chef Demonstrating culinary techniques and advising on cooking procedures to kitchen staff Preparing and cooking food Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Food Safety regulations Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations Recruit and train and train staff to meet the restaurant and kitchen standards BenefitsTask & Responsibilities You should be able to demonstrate: Previous experience in a similar restaurant position A passion for the hospitality industry, with extensive product knowledge Demonstrated excellent customer service skills Be friendly, smiley, sociable and welcoming to our customers, to create a great atmosphere Be honest and reliable Knowledge of WHS and food hygiene requirements Excellent communication skills Able to work varied hours including night shifts and weekend work Qualification & Experience Who are we looking for?
