Your new company Our client is a family-owned business, established in 2005, who offers comprehensive automotive services, including mechanical repairs, auto electrical work, and tyre services. Their team provides a one-stop solution for vehicle maintenance, catering to both individual and fleet needs, with a focus on safety and reliability. They also support the local community through various initiatives and projects. Your new role As a part of your role, you will be completing a range of duties (but not limited to):

Developing, coordinating, and managing maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure regular servicing, minimal downtime, and optimal performance.
Providing technical guidance, support to the team and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
Developing and scheduling maintenance plans to ensure all equipment and vehicles are serviced regularly and efficiently.
Leading and coordinating a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Implementing and overseeing preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Creating, assigning, and tracking work orders, ensuring all maintenance activities are documented and completed.
Managing inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Coordinating with external vendors for parts, services, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement.
Preparing and maintaining maintenance records and reports, providing insights into equipment performance and maintenance needs.

What you'll need to succeed

Trade Qualified - Mechanical
Minimum 10 years of experience within your trade
Proven planning and scheduling experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience with quality assurance checks
Safety-conscious with great attention to detail
Computer-literate
