The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint Associate Lecturer Level A (Teaching Focused). The applicant would have recent clinical experience and have the ability to teach in any aspect of clinical nursing for example:
- Med/surgical
- Mental Health
- Community
- Aged Care
- Paediatric
- Acute
The successful candidate would be expected to support high quality teaching in:
- Nursing skills labs
- OSCEs (lab assessments)
- ANSATs (clinical placement compulsory student assessments)
- Clinical Learning Plans (used for remediation of struggling students while on placement – part of Clinical Placement Coordinator role
- Tutorials
- Workshops
- Essay marking
- Exam marking
- Available for emergent GU employed Clinical Facilitation
Service*: Usual service expectations (10%) and Clinical Placement Coordinator (10%)
These are continuing positions offered at Lecturer level A, commencing on 13 January 2025.
Essential:
It is essential that the applicant has AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
In addition to a Bachelor of Nursing the applicant will have completed Honours, a Postgraduate Certificate or higher in relevant field and/or 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
On campus, face-to-face teaching is required and work patterns for part-time positions are expected to reflect the teaching requirements of the role.
Desirable:
Completion of a Masters and/or enrolment in a Masters degree is highly desirable.
