range of services to visitors and locals alike. Our Hotel and Restaurant is
renowned for its friendly atmosphere and delicious food, while our Motel provides comfortable and convenient accommodation options.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced qualified Chef to join our
supportive and family-oriented team in a fast-paced environment with an
offering wage of $73,500-$75,000 depending upon experience.
The position is Full-Time and must have excellent kitchen management skills
and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Job Summary: The Chef is responsible for providing exceptional dining
experiences to our guest, creating the menu, food preparation, and ensuring
consistent quality.
Kitchen Operation Management Key Responsibilities:
a. Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food
supplies
b. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
c. Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Kitchen and Front staff
d. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
e. Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment in compliance
with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. and align with safety and
regulation
f. Coordinate with Front House staff to ensure seamless communication and
efficient service delivery
g. Address any kitchen equipment issues promptly, coordinating repairs or
replacement as needed.
h. Create seasonal menus that reflect the hotel’s culinary style, guest
preferences, and local ingredients to accommodate special dietary
requirements and guest request
i. Oversee all aspect of food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes,
portion sizes and quality standards
j. Manage food inventory level and order supplies based on menu
requirements and budget constrains
k. Monitor Food cost, wastage, and potion control to maximize profitability
without compromising quality
Qualification and Skills Required: Culinary qualifications from a recognized
culinary school with minimum 1 year experience in Chef role or experience of
minimum 2 years in the position of Chef or or apprenticeship program with 2
years in the position.
