Our valued client SMW Group is a proud Central Queensland provider of field servicing, maintenance and emergency repair/ rebuild services with over 10 years’ experience servicing the Central Queensland region.
They are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join their highly skilled and qualified mechanical maintenance team in servicing and maintaining fleet and heavy equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
Carry our works in accordance with associated regulations
Ensure compliance to safety and environmental requirements and responsibilities at all times
Produce quality workmanship at all times
Liaise with the leading hand and supervisor to identify opportunities to improve processes and work performance
Responsibilities
Liaise with Field/ workshop Electrical Supervisor as to repairs required
Report all Electrical Incidents to Electrical Supervisor
Communicate with client representatives when required in a professional and courteous manner
Meet contract time schedule and maximise efficiency and productivity
Maintain communication and cooperative relationships within the workshop operation team
Undertake other tasks to support the project or business operation as required
Qualifications and Experience:
Trade qualified Auto Electrician
Ability to be able to electrically test an installation as required under the Act
Minimum two years post trade experience, preferably within Electrical Mining and maintenance
Industry and technical competencies
Site based experience in engineering and construction industry, a maintenance industrial environment or heavy industry
Understanding of the trades and disciplines involved in workshop and site operations
General skills, experience and knowledge
Written communication skills
Communicates effectively with a range of different people
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
