Position Description:
At Vital Home Health Services, Health Data Manager is responsible for the collection, analysis, and management of health-related data within an organisation. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of data, and leveraging it to improve healthcare outcomes and operational efficiencies. The Health Data Manager works closely with healthcare professionals, IT staff, and data analysists to support decision-making processes through data-driven insights. At Vital you will be managing the Homecare App, which includes a clinical record database, care plan directory and rostering service. As part of the job, you will be assisting Vital in the transition from paper to paperless system. You will also be directly involved with the App developers in maintaining and improving the App.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Management & Reporting
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
• Oversee the maintenance of databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Manage the integration of new data sources and databases, including integration of new care programs.
• Standardise data collection methods across the organisation and care programs to ensure consistency.
• Analyse health data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Work with the Wound Practitioner and Senior RNs to create and integrate systems to improve health data analysis.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders, including executives, clinicians, and regulatory bodies. This includes the monthly report to the Data Exchange for the CHSP care program, and monthly report of services provided by the care program.
• Visualisations to make data accessible and understandable for non-technical stakeholders. Ensure the access to the relevant data by the field staff and office staff.

Data Security and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with health data regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant standards
• Implement data security measures to protect patient information and prevent data breaches.
• Conducts regular audits and risk assessments to maintain data integrity and confidentiality
• Develop and enforce data governance policies

Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure proper data architecture and infrastructure in all areas of the organisation.
• Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate data sharing and integration Collaborate with healthcare provides to understand their data needs and provide relevant solutions.
• Train and support staff on data systems and procedures.

Quality Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for improving data collection and management processes.
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing healthcare quality and operation efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of data-driven interventions on healthcare outcomes.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies in data management.

Working conditions:
• You will be required to work in an office environment with standard working hours.
• You may be required to travel for training or conferences occasionally.

Salary - $90,000 - $100,000 plus super
