This is a full time role primarily based in Perth, Western Australia. Travel to remote sites within Australia will be required.
The successful candidate will be highly capable and be able to perform the follow duties, which are including but not limited to;
Planning, scheduling and coordination teams performing commissioning, maintenance and repairs to the following HV and LV equipment;
High/medium/low voltage circuit breakers (oil, vacuum and gas)
Power transformers
High/medium/low voltage switchboards
High voltage transmission and distribution equipment
Outdoor substation equipment (CT's, VT's, disconnectors, CB's etc)
Power generators and motors
Protection relays
High/medium voltage cables
Substation earth systems
Battery systems
Site visits as a member of a team to perform the above testing, maintenance and commissioning activities
Complete reports on work carried out and findings within agreed timeframes
Maintain and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders
Develop technical presentations and deliver to key stakeholders and clients
Develop commissioning plans, technical procedures, method statements and other documentation for projects and clients
Perform technical risk assessments and engineering life assessments
You will be required to work safely and efficiently, and to provide quality maintenance, commissioning and fault-finding engineering services on HV equipment – including design, installation, operation and maintenance of machines and systems for the generation, distribution, utilization and control of electricity.
The right candidate will have the following:
Min. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Extensive experience in the commissioning, testing and maintenance of HV equipment
A high level of understanding of relevant International and Australian standards
Experience in utilising the following test equipment;
Doble M4100
Omicron CT Analyser
Doble F6150
Adwel ELCID
Doble 5200
A strong commitment to OHSE in the workplace
A direct knowledge of HV operating principles, policies and procedures
Self motivated with a strong work ethic
Willing to learn and to teach others
Aptitude to work in a diverse team
