Imrat Painting and Construction Services Pty Ltd is a reputable company known for providing high-quality painting and decorating services across multiple locations in Australia. we are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Painting Trade Worker to join our dynamic team.

The Role
You will be part of a committed and professional team, with opportunities to advance your career within the company. This full-time position offers an annual salary between $75,000 to $80,000 depending on experience, plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities
Your tasks as a Painting Trade Worker will consist of:

· Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, and removing old paint.
· Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
· Applying primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
· Estimating materials required for each job and preparing cost estimates for clients.
· Operating and maintaining painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
· Ensuring all painting and decorating work is done according to company standards and client requirements.
· Performing quality control checks to ensure painting jobs are completed to the highest standards.
· Collaborating with other tradesmen such as builders and carpenters to ensure seamless execution of projects.
· Ensuring safety measures are followed, including using proper personal protective equipment and complying with safety regulations.
· Identifying and repairing surface defects like cracks and uneven textures before painting.
· Working on a variety of structures including residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
· Maintaining accurate records of time spent on projects, materials used, and expenses.
· Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
· Completing projects within deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

· Proven experience as a Painting Trade Worker, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
· Relevant qualifications in Painting and decoration minimum certificate III.
· Sound knowledge of different painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
· Familiarity with mixing and applying paints to achieve desired colours and finishes.
· Ability to work with different painting tools and equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
· Experience in managing materials, stock control, and minimizing wastage.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Must be willing to work across different locations, as per project requirements.
· Flexibility to work weekends if necessary.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand client specifications.
