FULL TIME FIRST CLASS WELDER
SALARY $80,000 to $100,000
Duties and Responsibilities
Tasks of a welder include fabricating, and welding components as required, either through TIG or MIG welding, and using various hand and power tools to complete task as required by management.
• Follow all safe work practices.
• Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
• Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment.
• Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).
• Grind or clean weld joint of work piece.
• Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes.
• Perform both TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel
• Repair tilt bowl, weir and furnace
• Weld and repair equipment and lead pumps and lead stirrers
• Perform shutdown duties
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience
Mine site experience preferred
Preferred work rights in Australia
Must be able to relocate to Mount Isa at own expense
Other requirements
• Able to pass a mine site medical
• Able to be trained in working at heights and confined space
• Able to pass a drug test
