Ittehad Brothers Pty Ltd trading as Pista House specialises in Indian and Arab cuisine. We are seeking to employ 2 x Head Cooks to complement our kitchen teams across multiple locations within Sydney Metro, including Wentworthville, Punchbowl and Merrylands. These multiple full-time positions carry a salary of $74K to $80k plus super. The roles are open to Australian citizens, PR and qualified overseas professionals. 482 sponsorship can be offered.
This job requires you to hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience, and the ability to work independently in a busy kitchen environment. Some experience is highly desirable.
Main Responsibilities:
? Oversee food preparation, dish presentations, and create various food formats.
? Cook mains, entrée, and side items, and prepares signature dishes and diet specific food for patrons.
? Select and plan recipes and create new combinations based on customer patterns.
? Estimate food consumption and requisitions for lunches, dinners and functions.
? Receive and examine supplies and stock, and inventory control for quality control purposes.
? Supervise and train new kitchen staff in cooking, plating and presentation.
? Oversee sanitation, food and hygiene regulations compliance by the kitchen staff.
? Recommend changes to the menu and daily specials to the management.
