Advance 360 is seeking Painter applicants for permanent full-time positions to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
• Apply paint, vinyl, and wallpaper including special papers and fabrics to all walls, furniture and structures;
• Conduct surface preparation methods including sandblasting, abrasive techniques, chemical techniques, masking and etching
• application to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, remove old paint, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings;
• Select the appropriate paint or mix paints according to a predetermined formula;
• Apply various paints or coatings to general structural steel according to job order specifications;
• Paint small items and apply touch-ups;
• Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment;
• Clean work area onsite throughout process and final clean up on completion;
• Ensure all occupational health and safety standards and procedures are followed and met
Competencies and experience required:
• Experience with various types of paints or coatings including resinous, solvent drying paints, catalyzed or polymerized paints, bituminous coatings, fire retardant coatings, anti-fouling paints, inhibiting coatings, polyester, polymer.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications relevant to the role
• Excellent Communication skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• Coordination and practical skills for using trade related tools
A remuneration package is between $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, negotiated depending on skills and experience.
