Position Overview:
JNJ Tech Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and motivated Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Malaga, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems to meet client requirements. This role requires an individual with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement telecommunications systems, including data, voice, and video communication networks.
Conduct site surveys to assess existing systems and recommend improvements.
Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
Collaborate with clients to understand their telecommunications needs and provide customized solutions.
Monitor system performance and implement upgrades or modifications to optimize network efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Prepare technical documentation, including reports, manuals, and specifications.
Provide support and training to clients on the use of telecommunications systems.
Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to coordinate project delivery.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience in telecommunications system design, installation, and maintenance.
Knowledge of telecommunication technologies such as VoIP, MPLS, ISDN, Ethernet, and fiber optics.
Familiarity with network security protocols, firewall configuration, and VPN setup.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA) are an advantage.
